The north
For pure summer atmosphere and a laid back way of life, the Pollensa-Alcudia bay area is a must. Dramatic mountains protect this beautiful bay, favoured by yachtsmen, bathers and kite surfers, and the whole area is very well connected to Palma and the airport.
The port of Pollensa has its own marina, beach and famous “pine walk”, a wonderful promenade lined by restaurants and bars. The town of Pollensa by contrast is an artists` haven with historical back streets and lively town square, and the famous “Calvary” walk offers stunning views of the area. Alcudia is an old walled town offering sandy beaches and nightlife in the summer. Close to Alcudia is the famed golf course of Alcanada, one of the best on the island, and the exclusive residential area of Mal Pas-Bonaire, right on the edge of natural parkland.
For perhaps the most dramatic views of the island, a trip to Formentor is a must, with beautiful views of coastline and the magical spot of Formentera beach, also close to where some of the most exclusive homes on the island are found.
